Hi I'm Ross, welcome to my commercial photography website. I'm a qualified photographer covering Essex,
London and the surrounding areas.
I understand the need for professional high quality promotional images to
promote yourself and /or your business and I pride myself on combining this quality with a personal and individualised service to ensure that my work fully reflects your brand and
I like to let my images do most of the talking and so I have included lots of examples of my work on
this website to give you a full insight into the look and style of my photography.
So as to not take up too much of your time, I have listed below a few key facts about me that give you
an insight into the person as well as the photographer.
- I'm City & Guilds qualified - 3 years of studying in London led me to complete my
qualification with Distinction and this provides my clients with confidence about the consistency and quality of my photography.
- I'm still learning - I will never get to a point in my professional career where I
feel I cannot improve and learn. This means that I always approach each shoot with new ideas and techniques to ensure my images remain fresh and contemporary.
- Before life as a photographer I worked in special needs education and I have
experience of working with people living with Dementia. My social skills and ability to interact with a range of individuals - from senior industry figures to vulnerbale members of the community -
enables me to put people at ease and tailor my services to the needs of all clients.
- I value images with meaning - Before taking a photo I try to ask myself "What I am
trying to communicate through this image?" It could be capturing your humouress side in a headshot or highlighting the craftsmanship in a hand-made product. Whatever the intention behind the shot, I
feel it is important have a clear idea of this before I press the shutter and that is why I listen closely to all my clients at every stage of the assignment.
- I have a life outside of photography - a work/life balance is important and when I'm
not holding a camera I like training for half-marathons (I've not psyched myself up for the full 26.4 miles yet), being creative in the kitchen (not successful necessarily but creative!) and getting
out and about with the family. I'm a sucker for a local country show and a farmers market too.
